His alma mater, Fu Jen Catholic University, honored him as an Outstanding Alumnus in 2015, and he serves as a board member of the university’s foundation. He earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Golden Gate University, School of Law, and both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan.
