Dr. Joe Tai is a seasoned intellectual property attorney based in Silicon Valley, USA. With a deep-rooted passion for innovation and technology, he has dedicated his career to the intersection of law and science. From 2012 to 2019, he was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers for eight consecutive years, a prestigious distinction awarded to only a select group of attorneys. His alma mater, Fu Jen Catholic University, honored him as an Outstanding Alumnus in 2015, and he serves as a board member of the university’s foundation. His contributions to scientific innovation have also been widely recognized, including winning three gold medals at the Pittsburgh International Invention Exhibition in 2011 and 2014.

Dr. Tai’s academic background is equally distinguished. He earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis (UC Davis), a Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Golden Gate University, School of Law, and both a master’s and bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Fu Jen Catholic University in Taiwan. This interdisciplinary expertise has allowed him to seamlessly bridge the gap between cutting-edge scientific advancements and legal frameworks, making him a sought-after expert in cross-border technology collaborations.

His professional experience spans the United States and Asia, particularly in the fields of biotechnology, environmental technology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and the computer and energy industries. He has served as a board member, annual conference chair, and treasurer of the Chinese Institute of Engineers (San Francisco chapter), as well as a board member and vice president of the Chinese-American Renewable Energy Association.
